Pros:

Product Description:

The Lello 1375 Ariete Cafe Prestige Coffee Maker has 950-watt capacity in a heavy-duty stainless steel frame. It provides constant pressure through the Thermoblock 15-bar-pump pressure system. The water can be poured through the top of the unit and it has a removable 2 and ¼ water tank. The model also has a warming area to allow for 9 cups of coffee to remain warm at a time. The ariete café maker has a standard warranty.

This model can use the ESE Pods as well as the coffee grounds. This feature is important to me because I am often in a hurry to leave the house and I want my coffee as fast as I can get it. I can have one shot of coffee and then the second in no time with its quick brewing feature. I also like that it is easy to tell how much the machine is filling by just looking it. There is need to manually pull up the plate to find out.

Cons:

I can’t always tell if the crema being formed is good, because the machine does produce a crema-like froth. Since I like good crema it’s a problem for me. I can live with this little annoyance though because I generally get the froth the way I like it.

I learned the hard way that if the pump is left on yet the machine is not letting out the coffee, there is going to be a big mess to clean up. Also don’t use the coffee drips after the pump is turned off, it tastes terrible, let the final drops fall into the tray. You also need to let the machine heat up for 10 minutes or else that first come of cup is just steam and espresso and is weak and tasteless. The tray can also leak so be careful.

The Final Verdict:

You need to make sure that the coffeemaker heats up for about 10 minutes before taking that first cup of coffee or it may be too weak and watery tasting. Also the crema-like froth may not satisfy the true connoisseur so you have to be careful to brew your beverage just the way you like it.

I have a Morphy Richards Roma which looks identical, as I think is the Ariete 1324. It’s great but I need a new head seal (between the coffee basket and the coffee outlet). Does anyone know where I can get one please?

I have this espresso maker but It hasn’t worked for years – I didn’t use It often and I think it’s just clogged. How do i get It to work again. I’ve also lost the manual. Is there one online?
