Some of the best coffee projects we know of got their start on Kickstarter. From...
I just took a sneak preview (or should I say prevue?) of the Keurig Vue V700 Brewing System, and let me just start by saying I can’t wait to get my hands on it!
My Keurig Home Brewer has been an established member of the family for a while now, and I’m looking forward to introducing the existing single-serve machine to its “big brother, the Keurig Vue V700 Brewing System. The Keurig website allows you to join the wait list, signing up for an alert when the machine is available, so I’ll be first in line.
The feature set to which I most look forward with the Keurig Vue V700 Brewing System is the detailed level to which the brewing process can be customized. The color touch screen looks simple to use despite the complex level to which you can customize your brewing–a marvelous combination of fine-tuning and custom-tailored control facilitated by user-friendly picture-based user interface. I’ve dealt with too many electronic items where the control panel required reading of an entire instruction book, with none of the design striking me as intuitive to use (or easy to remember). A quick look at the touch screen on the Keurig Vue V700 Brewing System, by contrast, shows labeled icons for coffee and tea, cafe beverages, and cold drinks, and easy-to-understand options for each.
The machine is unique in its promised adjustability of brewing strength and temperature, as well as the range of brewing sizes, ranging from single serving to a large carafe to brew for company. For my husband, who habitually puts his freshly brewed cup of coffee in the microwave to bring it up to the hotter temperature he prefers, the Keurig Vue V700 Brewing System looks likely to be his new best friend!
I also look forward to the variety of drinks promised by the Keurig Vue V700 Brewing System, ranging from hot coffee and brewed tea to hot cocoa and frothy cafe beverages, to iced teas and coffees. I already enjoy, with my current Keurig, the array of brewing products offered through the company’s gourmet partners, which include Gloria Jean’s, Timothy’s, Green Mountain Coffee, Tully’s, Newman’s Own, Caribou, Cafe Escapes, Green Mountain Naturals, and Emilio.
My little countertop carousel of K-cup brewing flavors for the current Keurig machine has become a pleasant part of my morning ritual, choosing which of the many flavors fits my mood for kicking off the day. I look forward to similar individual options when we adopt the Keurig Vue V700 Brewing System into the family, and I’m reassured to note that the Vue Pack containers are fully recyclable, so I can enjoy my individual packaging guilt free.
If you haven’t already had a preview look at the Keurig Vue V700 Brewing System, the detailed preview is available on the Keurig website, along with a sign-up option to receive an alert when it becomes available. The machine itself will qualify for Keurig’s free shipping offer, and I’ve just signed myself up for the Club Keurig Rewards program in anticipation of ordering my new brewing system experience!
