Hamilton Beach 47665 BrewStation Plus 12-Cup Automatic Drip Coffee maker

I just bought the coolest coffee machine ever – the Hamilton Beach 47665 Brew Station Plus. My friends think I collect coffee makers because it seems to them that I’m always buying another one. In a way, they are right. I probably have 8 or 10 coffee pots in my basement.

I had one that took forever to make coffee and another had a thermal carafe instead of the glass one. Both of those went into quick retirement. Each of my retirees has something about them but who remembers what now. The very first morning I woke up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee. My new Hamilton Beach 47665 Brew Station Plus had it ready and waiting for me.

Hamilton Beach 47665 BrewStation Plus12-Cup Automatic Drip Coffee Maker

Hamilton Beach 47665 Brew Station Plus product features:

  • Programmable Automatic Start
  • 12-cup capacity contained brew system
  • Top-Front water window for easy view
  • Removable Water Tank
  • Brew-Pause function
  • 2-hour automatic shut-off
  • Room for tall travel mugs
  • One-handed dispensing
  • One year limited warranty

Above all else, I love the fact that there is no carafe. I don’t have anything against them – until the dripless one’s start dripping! The coffee maker brews the coffee right inside the unit. It has a push bar similar to the ones on the beverage dispensers at the quick stop. When the bar is pushed, the coffee pours directly into your cup. By the way, just a tip – use a cup that’s white inside so the coffee level is visible. The only way it would be better is to automatically detect when the cup was full and stop on its own.

I used to stop at the quick stop and get my coffee, but I really like my coffee better. The dispensing area of the Hamilton Beach 47665 is tall enough for my travel cup to fit under without spilling over.

I love the removable tank on the Hamilton Beach 47665 Brew Station Plus. I don’t have good aim and whenever I have to pour water into a hole, part never makes it. With the removable tank, I just take it to the sink and fill it to the line. You can’t put the tank back wrong – another nice feature of the unit. The water tank is so easy to clean with the big opening that lets me reach right inside.

I have always had a bad habit of walking out leaving the lights, television and coffee pot on. I know how dangerous that can be and I know that I’ve been really lucky that I haven’t had a fire because of it. My new coffee makers shuts off after 2 hours. That is one appliance I no longer have to worry about burning up.

The other day I was cleaning the counter and bumped into the drip tray on the coffee maker. It popped out and I was so worried that I had somehow snapped it off. Low and behold, the drip is removable! I had been washing the metal strainer and the tray out with a sponge but wasn’t able to get in the corners. Now, I find out that it slides straight out of the slot. This is just one more happy surprise from the coffee maker.

Did I mention that the Hamilton Beach 47665 Brew Station Plus wasn’t nearly as expensive as the last machine I bought? I bought it at full price, but you could probably find it on sale some place. It was very reasonable especially with all the features that make it a pleasure to use. All I know is that it seems that I have finally found my upstairs coffee machine.

I replaced my less than 1 year old Cuisinart with the Brew Station…..love it. At have the price I use less coffee and have had none of the “taste” problems as mentioned above. In fact I love it so much, I have purchased a second one for a “just in case” gift.

In the past 2 years we have owned two of these. after about 18 months the gasket began to leak in the first one. So not so bad. The second one after just over a year doesn not leak, but it constantly has the “Cln” sign on…ever after multiple cleanings.. I am guessing this is a computer error.

We have never had the plastic taste and it uses LESS grounds than othe rmachine if you use teh paper filters

Well, I hope I dont joner myself by saying this.., but I just purchased this coffee maker 4 days ago and there has been no leaks, no plastic taste. The only adjustment that I had to make was the amount of coffee I used compared to the Mr. Coffee maker I threw in the garbage. As an example, to make 8 cups of coffee in the Mr. Coffee machine took about 5 tsps, where in the new machine it takes 7 tsps. However, the coffee in the new machine is very delicious.

We replaced a earlier version with this model, still has a horrible plastice taste after several cleanings. We also brew our tea through it and can’t stand the taste. Replacing with a glass model.

When I first got this, it brewed an excellent cup of coffee. But..every since I followed their directions for cleaning it now brews UNDRINKABLE coffee. I have no idea what happened. I’ve tried to flush it by just brewing plain water through about 20 times and the bad taste is still there. It’s past the time I can return it to the store, so I have no idea what I am going to do.

Just got ours and will find out if it has the plastic taste or not, haven’t actually used it yet, but so far I like the idea of not having that glass pot, that always gets broke.

Have had this coffee maker for months. It brewed an excellent cup of coffee for a long time, but recently this horrible plastic taste has rendered the coffee maker useless. I clean it with vinegar, etc., as directed, and sometimes the plastic taste is gone, but it is unpredictable and does not correlate to whether I’ve recently cleaned it or not.

Too bad; it’s been one of the nicest coffee makers ever otherwise.

    Would not purchase again.
