Grab your coffee and settle in for some eye-opening facts. There’s a floating ...
The Cuisinart EM-200 is just one of many espresso machines I have had over the years and while others cost much more, this model offers many more benefits. Before using this unit, I was sure that there would be some sort of sacrifice whether it pertains to flavor or convenience, simply because of the extremely low price I paid online for it. But since I have used this espresso machine for several months now, I am more than confident that I made the right decision.
The Cuisinart EM-200 looks great and captured my attention immediately with its all stainless steel body. I also chose this espresso machine because it took up much less area space than other models. Since my kitchen has limited counter space as it is, finding a compact yet powerful machine was my ultimate goal. Here are just some of the great features the Cuisinart EM-200 espresso machine has to offer.
Features of the Cuisinart EM-200
The Cuisinart EM-200 works fast and powerfully with 15 bars of pump pressure packed inside. The programmable options allow you to choose whether you want a single or double shot. You have the ultimate option to either fill a 1.5 ounce cup or a 3 ounce one. Another great thing about this espresso machine is that it offers a truly versatile brew. You can use your own coffee grounds or easy serve pods to brew because this machine does both with equally great performance.
My favorite part of the Cuisinart EM-200 is that if you want more or less than the measured shot, you can use the manual pour option which allows you to take as much as you want. Most espresso machines I have seen only offer one shot size or another but they do not allow you to pour continuously. This feature basically allows you to have as much or as little espresso you need but when you don’t want to measure a perfect shot, you can use the 1-cup button as well.
What Else does the Cuisinart EM-200 Offer?
I prefer the Cuisinart EM-200 over all of the espresso machines I have had before because it also includes a special cup just for frothing. The process of cleaning is also easy because the drip tray and water tank are removable. There are no complicated parts to remove or stressful process to put the unit back together. My old machine did not even offer a detachable grid so I would have to clean certain parts of the unit with extreme inconvenience.
An espresso machine that offers commercial-grade performance is almost impossible to find these days. The Cuisinart EM-200 comes with a high quality steaming wand which can steam milk for lattes, cappuccinos, and of course, espressos. This tiny accessory makes a huge difference because most models do not offer this feature that only equipment at the coffee shop has. Another feature that makes this machine seem like it came right from the café is the warming tray for cups or mugs. With any great product, small but useful features are what make a significant difference from other models.
Though it may seem logical to simply buy the most expensive espresso machine there is to ensure quality, a high price does not always mean a great value. Before choosing the espresso machine for you, consider the long list of features offered by the Cuisinart EM-200 and how it can completely eliminate the traditional headaches of brewing.
