AeroPress coffee and Espresso Maker is easily the least expensive, trendy coffee maker on the market. The innovative portable AeroPress coffee maker uses the theories behind the French press, but gives it a sweet twist. Instead of a plunger – that needs to be cleaned – the AeroPress Coffee System uses air to force the coffee through the microfilter and leave the grounds behind. The AeroPress coffee maker has picked up so many fans that it’s in the Top 100 Best Selling Products in the Home and Garden category at Amazon.com.
Product Description
The AeroPress coffee maker is the first real NEW way to make coffee in nearly a generation. The nifty little coffee maker is so ingeniously simple that it’s hard to believe no one has thought of it before. It weighs less than 2 pounds, doesn’t use electricity and brews a cup of coffee that rivals French Press coffee. According to the manufacturer, Aeropress coffee is so good because:
– The coffee is totally immersed in water, which results in rapid, robust extraction of flavor from the coffee grounds
– You use a lower water temperature and shorter brew time, so the acid level of the coffee made with the AeroPress coffee maker is lower than most other brewers
– The micro-filters trap even the finest sediment, resulting in coffee that is so pure that you can store it for days to use as coffee extract
In addition, the Aeropress coffee and espresso maker chamber is very easy to clean. All you have to do is give the plunger a quick rinse, and the light weight and compact size make it the ideal option for the person who wants to make a perfect cup of coffee wherever they are. All you need is a way to heat water and a cup to collect your coffee when it’s done.

If you’ve used a French Press, using this neat little compact coffee maker will be intuitive for you. You just put a filter in the chamber, add ground coffee, put it on a cup and pour in the hot water. Stir the coffee in the coffee maker for about ten seconds, then slowly press down on the plunger. In about twenty seconds, you’ve got a fresh cup of thick, rich coffee concentrate that you can drink as is or dilute to make a Café Americano.

– it’s lightweight and portable
– you can use it anywhere you have hot water
– it doesn’t use any electricity so you can take it camping with you
– no sediment in your coffee – and the filters are dirt cheap!
– did I mention it makes great coffee?
Cons:
A few folks have reported on various coffee maker review sites that the plunger takes a bit of strength to push down. They suggest that if you have limited arm or hand strength, this may not be your best choice. I have to say that I have arthritis in my hands and I had no problem with it, but you might take that into consideration if you’re considering the Aerobie Aeropress coffee maker.
The Final Verdict:
The Aerobie Aeropress Coffee and Espresso Maker is an elegant, inexpensive device that makes amazingly good coffee with very little hassle. If you like your French Press, you’ll love the AeroPress!
