Espresso Machines – STARBUCKS Coffee Maker – Zia, Athena, Barista
Starbucks Estro Barista Zia model retail price $275 – another good beginner model; a bit overpriced, but works well and makes good solid espresso shots; some issues with structure have been mentioned in other reviews, but none found with this particular one
Starbucks Barista Athena?„? Espresso Machine model retail price $299 – a superb machine; well worth the money spent; overuse will cause the engine to break down, recommended for casual use only; steam wand works well
Starbucks Barista?® Espresso Machine model retail price $350 – another Starbucks winner; consistent performance and solid design
Starbucks Espresso Machine Italia model retail price $895 – the best of home use espresso machines; a little tricky to figure out, but once the timing is mastered, it creates perfect espresso every time
Starbucks Espresso Machine Italia Digital model retail price $995 – what problems were had with its non-digital function are corrected in this model; perfect espresso; the machine seems to make the drinks quickly and effortlessly; would spend the money again

MR COFFEE espresso machines:
All models, retail price varies
For moderately priced espresso machines, these do not report the design flaws that others in its price range have; good for the beginning student of coffee construction; steam wand is not overly powerful, but slow and steady makes the right foam
And just for fun.

This is really a question, not a comment. I purchased the Barista One Cup Coffee Maker and it worked fine for the first month but now it leaks when brewing. A good portion of the coffee is flowing down around the coffee cup instead of into it and it goes all over the counter. What can I do about this, other than returning it for a full refund?

I am having similar problems with mine after about a year. I’ve cleaned it and inspected it and have not found anything obviously wrong but it keeps leaking on the outside?

I have a Starbucks Barista Zia. A scary thing happened: The steam knob actually blew off and flew across the room like a missle. When I screwed it back in it only steams now and won’t make coffee. Do you suppose a part is missing, a gasket or something? I called Starbucks (which sent me to Saeco, which gave me the phone number of a service guy 40 miles away. He had no ideas over the phone. Does anyone have a manual or info?
Thanks,
Jeann (suffering coffee-deprivation)

You can resolve the problem of dripping and putting a new rubber gasket in.

This may help all you folks who have Starbucks Machines:
Some were made by SAECO (my Barista Zia for example). This fellow and his daughter repair all sorts of machines and did a great job repairing mine (the steaming knob blew off and lost a part). I live in Portland OR anddropped it off when I was in WA. They mailed it back to me.
For manuals, try the SAECO website and send email to customer support. I was able to download a manual from them. It didn’t show up on the website, but they emailed it to me as an attachment.

I am looking for several parts for my Barista Home Espresso Machine. Where can I find: Ground Coffee Backet; Pod Coffee Basket; Pod Coffee Pressure insert; Starbucks Rapporto filter; Brew Head Cleaner and the measuring spoon.

I need to get the tool for the machine so that I can clean the part where the pod attaches. It is building up with pressure and dripping very very slowly

We too have a Satrbucks Barist Expresso Maker, yesterday the machine when “poof” & a white cloud came from under the unit & water went everywhere—someone please give me an idea if it “shot” or if it just needs a CLEANING. Then of course, pleae give us an idea how to take it apart to clean the unit.
