i need to order a new filter basket because mine is tearing and im getting grounds in my coffee. does any one know where to get a new one? If so i would be very thankful

We love our Melitta!!! Unfortunately, a plastic piece on the grind and brew broke and will only work if we tape the cap down. AND WE DO! Do you know if we can replace it? It is the same model mentioned here but with the stainless steal caraf. Do you know if I purchase this model will the stainless steal caraf, I have, will fit?

The screen in my filter basket was tearing away from the plastic, so I tried looking for a replacement with no luck. I LOVE the coffee the machine makes, but hated the grounds that were leaking through. I was afriad I would have to chuck it, but then my clever boyfriend figured out how to fix it! He carefully used a soldering iron to melt the plastic in the area next to the screen and reattached it! It works great now!

I called Applica/Fox Int’l 1(800)738-0245 and for the 3rd time they tell me the basket part#30640 is on back order. I told them someone ordered one yesterday and they wouldn’t believe me. I ordered it anyway $25.90 including s/h. They were hoping it would be in at the end of April. If it didn’t make such good coffee I would chuck this thing in a minute.
