This is the worst coffee maker I've ever owned. Krups used to be my most favorite coffee maker. The carafe does not keep the coffee hot, even if I heat the carafe with hot water first. The coffee has cooled down before the automatic shut off even works. It's impossible to pour from the carafe. The outside stainless steel (??) rusts, the water inidicator gets bubbles and makes it impossible to know how much water is in the resevoir.

I paid $160 for this but I'll never buy a Krups again.

The lid to our carafe has to be removed to pour the coffee; I have soaked it in hot water - to no avail. Any suggestions?

I compensate for the bubbles by guess and by gosh simply by adding the appropximate amount of water that the bubble occupies.

We've had this model (black one) that has exactly this same problem with water bubble(s), and, it is very difficult to get out the last cup of coffee : you have to take the lid off and basically turn it upside down
