I have been using this roaster for 7 months and it is certainly the way to start roasting your own coffee. I find that it takes a watchful eye to get the best from a bean with this roaster. It roasts very fast and the coffee can change very quickly. At first I was under roasting, but you get some very interesting flavors.
I was recently in the big city and bought some beans from well known custom roaster for 16$ pound. These very same beans I had bought green for 5$ pound. So there is great economy here.
