I have the Faberware 4 cup electric percolator for about 4 years. Within the first month the handle broke off because the lid was so hard to get off. I received a new one free (still under warranty). Eventually, that one broke off. No longer under warranty, my husband got a screw and screwed it on the lid. That is loose and rusty. Now the heating element went. I have a Faberware grill for over 25 years that I couldn't live without, this is why I bought the coffee pot without any research. I have written the company and got a reply equivalent to, tough luck. Needless to say, I'm done with Faberware

Try Goodman's small appliance housewares & buy-it-now-store.com - I found both by googling farberware electric coffee maker. Other sites there too. If you send anything to this email address, please mention the farberware comment so I won't delete it.

Take your pot to a camping goods store and find an aluminum stove top percolator with a glass top that fits. I found one that fits perfectly and you can watch the coffee perk

We've had this percolator for almost two years. Within the first six months the plastic knob cracked even though we never touched it. Farberware replaced it, since it was still under warranty, but the new knob broke within a few months also. The buttons have all cracked. Even though we like the percolator, we would never buy it again as the quality and durability are not what we expected from Farberware.

got a very old stylish sunbeam perc from the folks. Stainless steel, looks and works fab. The Java tastes superb. Head down to a fleamarket or a second hand store and pick one of these up and try it. Seems all the bad hype is bunk.
