I bought the DeLonghi EC155 espresso maker for my mother a while ago, and have now just bought one for myself, taking advantage of a half-price discount.

This is a pump-driven machine, which can achieve pressures which are considerably higher than steam driven coffee machines, and what this means is that the extraction of the coffee is much more efficient, hence giving coffee with more flavor.

I am not sure why some people say this machine does not make decent coffee. I have used this machine (my mum's!) for quite a while now and all my family and friends always comment on how good our coffee is!"

I just got my DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker today! I was so excited that I opened it right away and made my first latte tonight! I thoroughly read the instructions and washed and prepped everything the way it said to. The design of the machine looks nice and is a good size. The frothing wand is a little oddly shaped and positioned, but I was aware of that going into it because of the other reviews on here. I was still able to make a good foam and steamed milk for my very first latte ever! I hopefully will get better at the latte making process, but overall the espresso was great and did not take long at all! I am very satisfied and I agree with all of the other good reviews on this product. This is a good quality machine that is easy enough to use for a novice first time espresso maker like me.
