The Delonghi EC155 Espresso Maker is a 15-bar-pump coffee maker with a durable Stainless Steel boiler. The EC155 has two thermostats, one to control water the other to control steam. The EC155 Espresso Maker’s dual function filter holder accommodates both E.S.E. pods. It also uses coffee ground. The 35-ounce water tank is removable and as an added feature it comes with an adjustable swivel jet frother, which is great for cappuccinos and other wonderful frothy milk drinks. It has a self-priming feature for fast brewing and an on-off switch for easy use and versatility. The Delonghis EC155 has a one-year warranty.

This unit is easily cleaned, just remove the tray and then replace and readjust the self priming operation.

It’s secret of good taste lies in its pump feature, which produces four times the amount of pressure than does of the steam driven units and allows you the wonderful froth, not available with the steam driven models.

Pros:

It is easy to grind the coffee. I like that I don’t have to carry water from the sink to coffee maker, I just take the removable tank to the sink and refill it there. The machine makes demi cups of espresso though not large mugs. Many of my friends enjoy the wonderful flavor of the rich frothy brew. It makes a great beverage for its affordable price and I can just relax at home without having to spend extra money at a coffee shop.

Cons:

What I do not like is that the steam comes out of the top of the machine and it can be quite hot. I sometimes have trouble getting the tray back into the machine after cleaning it. It is hard sometimes to get the cup position properly because of the overhead placement. I personally find the taste of the coffee too weak sometime though my friends do not have a problem with it.

The Final Verdict:

The Delonghi EC155 Espresso Maker is a good model for espresso lovers. However, the coffee maker gives me a hard time when trying to adjust the tray back in place and positioning the cup in the narrow space provided.
