The charcoal filter provided in the coffee maker removes chlorine and odors from tap waters which is another valuable addition. The thermal carafe is double-wall insulated brushed stainless steel and can keep up to 10 cups of 5-ounce brewed coffee. The brew can be paused for mid-brew pouring. The grinder can be removed for easy cleaning up. The coffeemaker measures 15 by 8 by 7-1/2 inches and comes with a 3-year warranty.

When you are making less than 5 cups of coffee, it would be better to use the 1 to 4 cups setting, which improves extraction and heat. The timer can be preset so that the coffee is ready exactly when you get up. The disposable charcoal filter has to be changed every few months to have proper removal of chlorine and odor from tap water. The brew pause allows pouring before the brewing is complete.
